I set the camera up to catch the turkeys on the farm. It was in woods next to a corn field that still has corn in it.

and posing for the camera

I would say the reason those turkeys are so happy is because two certain big bad "coyotes" got their just desserts after trying a "goat sandwich"!! Rolling Eyes

Great pics.

We have a whole slew of turkeys that live across the street from us...about 40-50 ft. from out house... they sure are noisy at dawn! They make a good warning system. You know for sure when something is in the woods bothering them.

I was out in the driveway late one afternoon and one of them swooped between trees crashing as it went. Just about gave me a heart attack lol I thought there was a bear coming straight for me! Embarassed I must of looked pretty silly when I just about tripped over myself to move away from there. Laughing

Turkeys always look happy. Very Happy If they are not, they are running. Shocked Very Fast. Wink
They are on the menue of the local Bobcat. He has caught some of them in the past. Scat evidence. Lately, Mr. Bobcat has been catching rabbits. But the remaining bunnies are very smart now and very FAST Cool I think the Bobcat must be watching the birds again Twisted Evil Well, I think he is watching "Her" this week. Interesting tracks. Wish I had more cameras Exclamation

Very Happy A neighbor up the road she lives by herself who feeds the turkey in her back yard every day. We watch her relatives unloading 100 lb bags of feed from her vehicle from time to time. It makes us wonder how these turkeys survive at times when we have had numerous coyotes in the area at certain times of the year. But it is funny to watch the herds of turkey crossing the road in the warm weather, it takes them 5 minutes to get thier flock across the road & the males are threatening our vehicle. Smile
