Shocked Shocked Shocked

Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool

Too bad I didn't get the shot on the 14th, there were 30 of them out there. Smile Smile

The herd showed up after the snow went down. We have the only standing corn for 5 miles in any direction. Could be farther now, the combine just went through. Saw another herd of 20 tonight about ten miles away from here. Cool Cool

It is so nice to finally see deer again. Last month we had some real hungry ones hanging in the yard. They were kinda thin Sad This is a nice early break in the weather, I am hoping it continues, for all of us Very Happy

It is absolutely beautiful out today!! We didn't quite make 60 here on the mountain. Warmer days are here and the bears can't be far behind. That's alright though I can't stand to be cold much longer. Smile

HA Shocked , we had bears, yes two, walking around on the farm on Feb 16 at 1 PM Exclamation
Why they were out walking is any bodies guess. Confused Confused

They were seen walking through the herd of thirty deer. The deer didn't care Confused So I would say you had better watch out for your bears any old time now.

ah yup....I have already stopped feeding the birds. I am sure they have been out with this on again off again weather. I won't feed the birds till next winter unless there is a bad storm.... which we could still get unfortunately.

Boy, thirty deer? That's a lot of deer AND a lot of ticks. I haven't seem the bears yet but I sure am seeing the ticks already. Lots of em Sad

I spend all winter taking ice and salt off the dog and all summer taking ticks off of him. sigh.....

Actually, the deer had just come out of their "yard" Around here some of the deer yard up in the winter and some do not. I would guess we are on the edge of northern behavior verses southern behavior. we have had a small family group here all winter but the yard gang showed up for about two weeks then they left. Or they broke up. Hard to tell Smile
